AI SEO tool

SEO score, meta description, and keyword — built into the editor.

JustJot's AI SEO panel scores your content 0–100, surfaces the right target keyword, writes a meta description, and flags heading, body, and length gaps — all from the same sidebar where you draft. No external dashboard. No copy-paste. Write, score, optimize, and publish in a single tab.

SEO score before you publish

Every article gets a 0–100 SEO score computed from your title, headings, body depth, and content length — visible in the editor sidebar so you can fix gaps before the post goes live, not after.

Target keyword surfaced from your content

The AI reads your draft and suggests the single best target keyword to focus on — saving the keyword-research step when you already know what you're writing about.

Meta description written for you

Get a ready-to-publish meta description (≤160 characters) phrased for search-result click-through, not just a truncated excerpt. Edit it directly in the panel if you want to tweak the angle.

Area-specific suggestions: title, headings, body, length, meta

The suggestions panel breaks down exactly where your score is losing points — a missing H2, a thin body, an over-long meta — so you know what to fix and where.

Stays inside the workspace where you write

Most SEO tools live in a separate dashboard. JustJot's SEO panel lives in the editor sidebar — the same place where you draft, research, and schedule. Write, score, optimize, publish in one tab.

Works alongside your existing editorial workflow

Combine the SEO panel with the headline suggester (A/B-testable title variants), the content calendar, and the one-click publish — so the full SEO-to-publish pipeline is covered without leaving the app.

How it works

  1. Open any draft or published node in the JustJot editor.
  2. Click SEO check in the editor sidebar — the AI scores your content and returns suggestions in seconds.
  3. Review the 0–100 score, the suggested target keyword, and the auto-written meta description.
  4. Expand the suggestions panel to see per-area notes: title, headings, body depth, length, and meta.
  5. Apply the meta description and adjust your copy — the score updates as you edit.
  6. Hit publish. Canonical URL, JSON-LD schema, and sitemap entry are set automatically by the platform.

Frequently asked questions

What does the AI SEO score actually measure?

The score (0–100) reflects five areas: whether your title contains the suggested keyword, whether your headings create a logical hierarchy, how deep your body copy is relative to the topic, whether your content length is competitive for the keyword, and whether you have a usable meta description. Each area contributes a weighted share so you can see exactly where to focus.

How is this different from a standalone SEO tool like Surfer or Clearscope?

Standalone tools require you to export your draft, paste it in, get scores, paste edits back, and republish — four round-trips. JustJot's SEO panel runs inside the editor, so the loop from 'edit → score → publish' is a single click. You also get the same workspace for research, writing, scheduling, and analytics — no juggling tabs.

Can I customize the target keyword?

Yes. The AI suggests a keyword from your content, but you can pass a specific keyword as a focus and the op re-scores against that term instead.

Does this handle technical SEO like canonical URLs and structured data?

The SEO panel handles on-page content quality (the copy, headings, meta description). Canonical URLs, JSON-LD Article schema, and sitemap entries are handled automatically by the platform for every published node — you don't configure them.

Is the SEO tool available on the free tier?

Yes — `seo_suggestions` is available to all author accounts, including free. No credit card required to run your first SEO check.

What happened to my existing meta description if I edit the suggested one?

The suggestion is a starting point; accepting it updates your node's metadata but you can edit it freely afterward. The score re-computes against whatever you've set.
